Dinamika Bendungan Jatigede

Jatigede have some positif aspect, one of them are become resource of irrigation and source of electricity. Basicly dam of Jatigede have 5 positive aspect, but the important just for irrigation and electricity. The irrigation will give water to some field in west Java, but there is a problem for this positif site, because the people that live in Jatigede area will not get the water because the water will go to some other place in West Java. The secondry aspect for Jatigede damn are became recreation place, and fish farm too. Jatigede dam need so many budget because they need first they need bought the land of Jatigede, and the problem is they need conpecation funs for more than a thousand families live in there. Government give 2 type one that get compencation Rp 122,5 million and the other one get Rp 29,36 million. Not just give competation government need build the damn to, that is need high budget money. Billion mega project need some billion money too.

I think for me, the billion project of dam Jatigede is not really make me maybe sad, because this mega project that not finish after 30 years this damn will sink some villages and some culture place in that area, and not just that this second biggest dam in Indonesia will cut down much of trees not only hundred, but hundred of thousand. This dam will sink up the fertile soil field, and make much people that live in there, work in there, and get money from that field will eroded because water from the Cimanuk River will be full in just some year.

The biggest impact for Jatigede Dam, is the cultural building that will be erorded and sink, not just the physicaly but the history of the building will sink and vanished with just counting days, because history can’t repeated again. The second that have the biggest impact is the ecology that maybe will be disturbed, not just that the paddy field that very fertile soil will be sink and gone, and would not be produce any much paddy anymore. My grandma said, the paddy field in Jatigede area have minimum 2 until 3 times harvest, not like much other area in Indonesia and the in paddy field quality is not bad.
